Nurturing Confidence in our Kids
The ultimate goal is for our children to be confident in their skin.
Whether meeting new people, trying new things, or simply moving through their normal day, we want our kids to feel confident, without the worry of what others think.
Confidence helps them cope with life’s highs and lows while feeling capable and content.
Cultivating Courage in our Kids
Creating the zeal to try new things is a cornerstone to developing our youth to have confidence and courage.
As adults we realize that access to opportunities can often make or break where we head in life. With this said, we want our kids to try new things, without allowing fear to take over and keep them in the shadows.
Getting our child out of their comfort zone is a wonderful way to help them grow and find new ways.
What if we celebrated even the smallest “I did it” moments and helped them build upon these small wins!
A few brave actions under their belt, like trying something new and daring, will go a long way in boosting self confidence.
Building Resilience in our Kids
Building Resilience Having the ability to handle the ups and downs of life sensibly is a goal we set. Resilience is a wonderful life-skill and it comes from many small successes.
As parents, it can often feel more loving to guard our children from the hard things, when in reality they need to face their fears.
Teaching your children how to problem solve, improve their communication skills, control their emotions and build upon many of the skills listed below will put a child well on their way to settling into a more resilient space.
Encouraging positive transformations in our teens and having resilient young adults as an outcome is a core focus of mine. Here are some greats quotes on this matter that I personally have enjoyed:
